General Security Information

Mango Road's servers are hosted in a secure network facility that has been certified to fully  comply with the 2005 Federally mandated Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards for network, credit card and customer information  protection. In addition, our data center has been certified through audit to be fully compliant with the VISA CISP (Cardholder Information Security Program) and MasterCard SDP (Site Data Protection) programs. These programs provide a solid operating framework to reduce the probability of fraud through theft of cardholder data and compliance is mandated by credit card associations.

Our data center's sophisticated security systems include 24/7 monitoring, professionally certified security personnel, and advanced dual authentication access protocols. These security systems are audited annually and certified as required by VISA's CISP security standards.

For your protection, we permanently delete credit card numbers from our server once an order is completed and closed. NO record of your credit card number is permanently stored by Mango Road in any form. All hard copies of documents containing customer personal information are shredded upon completion of your order. Mango Road has made every attempt to install the appropriate security measures on our website and in our hosting servers to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you. Our company has undergone a through authentication process by Thawte, Inc. one of the largest international providers of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificates. Payment Security

During the checkout process, you will be asked to provide personal and payment information. This is done to protect you from identity theft fraud as well as to protect Mango Road. When we transfer and receive this sensitive information, we will redirect you to a secure server. During this process you will see either a solid key icon or a locked padlock icon at the lower portion of your browser window. If your browser is configured to do so, a dialog box will alert you that you are entering a security area and will ask if you want to view secure data. These steps are are your assurance that your information is being securely handled via a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Mango Road uses a dedicated SSL key and does not share this service with other merchants. Our checkout and payment processes use a third party secure payment processing provided by VeriSign. Credit card and personal details are dual encrypted in our store database during the transaction and are further encrypted when your data is transmitted over the Internet from our servers to VeriSign, Inc.. Credit card information is erased from Mango Road's servers as soon as the order is closed. No personal financial data are retained on the Mango Road's servers or in any local database. Please note that e-mail is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers. Mangoroad will never ask for personal or financial information to be transmitted in that manner.

Information we may collect

When you visit our Web site, our Web server automatically collects the following information: a) your Internet service provider’s address, b) the referring URL and, c) information on the pages you access on our site. This information does not identify you personally.

We also collect personally identifying information that you willingly provide, such as survey information and information you provide when you make a purchase, register your e-mail address or sign-up for sweepstakes or contests.

MangoRoad.com does not retain your credit card information in our database.

How we use that information

The information we collect is used:

• to generally improve the content and layout our Web site

• to improve the shopping experience for our customers

• to notify you about updates to our Web site

• to contact you for marketing purposes (with your approval)

• with your permission, shared with other organizations for marketing purposes

Personal information that you provide will be added to our customer file. In some instances, we use third party companies to help us to: (1) provide our products and services to you; (2) assist us in managing customer information; (3) fulfill promotions; and, (4) communicate with you. Some of these vendors are given access to some or all of the information that you provide to us, including your e-mail address and may collect some information on our behalf. These vendors are contractually restricted from using your information in any manner, other than in helping us to provide you with the products and services available from Mango Road.

We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. Our Site contains links to other Internet sites owned by third parties. Your use of each of those sites is subject to the conditions, if any, that each of those sites has posted. We have no control over sites that are not ours and we are not responsible for any changes to or content on them. Our inclusion on our sites of any third party content or a link to a third party site is not an endorsement of that content or third party site.

Your correspondence or related activities with third parties, including payment transactions and goods delivery transactions, are solely between you and that third party. You agree that Mango Road, LLC/mangoroad.com will not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any of your transactions with third parties. Any questions, complaints or claims related to any product or service should be directed to the appropriate vendor.

If you make a purchase from another Merchant or Shopping Portal Site with a link originating from the Mango Road website or a Merchant catalog or website offering Mango Road product, the information you provide to that Merchant, such as your credit card number and contact information, is provided to the Merchant and not to Mango Road. If you do not advise them to the contrary, you should know that the Third Party Merchant may share your name and postal and email addresses with third parties, including Mango Road. You should also know that these Merchants have their own privacy and data collection practices and are not covered by the Mango Road privacy statement.

Merchants on the Mango Road website and those Merchants, who send catalogs or host websites linking to or offering Mango Road products for sale, have separate privacy and data collection practices. We have no control over and therefore no responsibility or liability for these independent policies.
